Sylvie is Gone

Phyllis is still keeping her warm. I noticed that Phyllis was not moving around this morning and when I checked the chick was dead.

I assume i need to take the body from her but I thought I'd check and see if it is better if she leaves it on her own.

Oh how awful and sad. Poor Sylvie and Phyllis, and you and Mrs. Bob!

I'm devastated for poor Phyllis. This is the worst thing I could have done to her.

Well I don't know much but I don't entirely agree with this, as she went broody on her own, and you supported and provided a certain amount of fulfillment of that. I'll read ahead but how to let her process poor Sylvie's death is good to consider.

Bob, although this plan didn’t work out, it came from a place of love. You didn’t set out to hurt anyone.
If the chicks had arrived when scheduled (which was completely out of your control) it may have turned out very differently.

I need to step away everyone. It's been too much.

Eve is here to see the chicks. So I am going to take advantage of that and spend the weekend concentrating on her.

I will likely be back on Sunday night.
