Mine, too. I only use large feeders if I’m going out of town. Instead, I use several coop cups scattered around the run. They have a mix if crumbles and pellets. Every so often, I take the powder that’s collecting in the coop cups and turn it into a mash.Mine scatter their own crumbles and then eat them off the ground.
Yes I couldYou could put up a hammock for yourself in the barn.
WOW! Is he ever beautiful!Thank you! That's my Easter Egger rooster when he was younger. This is him now:

Yum!Pretty yummy. I will freeze half of it and have some tomorrow as well. It is a 12 egg version because that works best with the big skillet.

Oh no, Lozzy! Did you or will you give her calcium?Charlie’s really off this morning. There was a soft-shelled egg and what looked remains of another egg. She keeps sitting quietly and sticking her head under her wing. She wasn’t really interested in mealy worms. I don’t know if I can keep doing this!
I don’t, but my colleague does. And he’s a Maintenances and Operations guy! I can ask him.Automatic coop doors?
Anyone have one they love?
My area is humid and we get cold winters (almost as much snow as RC ). I'd like a manual override and most definitely want one that doesn't crush a bird if she's being a brat and blocking the door.
I'm leaning to the ADOR1 model because it looks like it fits the needs and isn't scary to look at. The JVC one looks overly complicated.
We have power to the coop, so wired or battery operated is fine.
Would love your inputs!
