I suspect this will land me a SHRA tax bill, but have you thought about giving her a step stool? Looks like she could manage the shelf in two jumps very easily. Could be an overturned milk crate or something like that.Ruby Check-in
It’s not really an update, as we are pretty status quo. Here is a long (4-minute) video of Ruby getting herself up onto the shelf followed by her jumping up to a roost.
Have you tried introducing her to the idea of roosting on her own in the Chuckle Hut? At least she would be safe and not bullied. This Happened Tonight
I found Phyllis alone on the roost in the run. This is Maleficent's roost for those who remember.
She is back in the big coop.

Yep! Pay your taxes !! That suggestion was already submittedI suspect this will land me a SHRA tax bill, but have you thought about giving her a step stool? Looks like she could manage the shelf in two jumps very easily. Could be an overturned milk crate or something like that.
WDYT?
But RC, she would be all alone. And Phyllis is a socialite!Have you tried introducing her to the idea of roosting on her own in the Chuckle Hut? At least she would be safe and not bullied.
Yup - as I thought, I owe SHRA tax.How do I say this. Maybe give Ruby an easier ramp? Or add a few crates for her to jump up on? She’s doing so well, and she’s beautiful

Well, but she needs the right kind of company and she seems to be in with a bunch of ruffians right now!But RC, she would be all alone. And Phyllis is a socialite!![]()
That was my thought - it is a dominance thing - I have a rather graphic video of Maggie apparently mating with a road runner. I think she is just exerting power and authority - but if you didn't know she laid eggs .. .. ..Is there any chance she is imitating a rooster?
Absolutely. From baby chick to donkey all at the same time.Quick question. I haven’t had pullets as young as Belle and Snow before so I’m trying to be observant as far as changes go with them. When the girls are getting their big girl voices (peep peep going to bok bok haha) do they normally make random honking type sounds, when excited or something has given them a fright?
Bob tried to remedy that (post office crashed and burned him) as you remember .Well, but she needs the right kind of company and she seems to be in with a bunch of ruffians right now!
