I'm so grateful you did. I think it would be a good idea to link it every week or so because people like myself for instance cannot get bookmarks on their phones.Yes, I linked Beekissed’s thread.
I don’t know the answer to that one! Let us know if you find out for sure.
I'm keeping my eye on this situation and how you can deal with it. I'm still worried about settling my little ones in with my girls.Yes, I realize that it is their nature for sure. Frankly this behavior has gone on with every new members of the flock. It is why Maleficent chose to just roost outside in the run as well.
I will say it has been non-stop since I let her set. Whatever the intentions, letting Phyllis set is requiring that I do something else. It was not nearly consistently this bad prior to it. This would happen occasionally. Maybe once a month I would find her outside the coop. Now it is every night.
As I see it, I have two choices. Try to split the tribes or rehome her. Obviously I am choosing the former but I cannot be certain that it will work. I am doing it with an abundance of apprehension that it will work and that I will get it all correct.
I am hoping for good advice from everyone to help me to see if I am missing something. I will post a basic plan in the next few days and I hope that everyone will help me to look for what I might be missing.
Thanks BobExcellent news! I'm so glad!
I've purchased a few plants call wormwood. Apparently this helps too kill of some species of worms and my girls love to pack on itIt is always good to check before treating. There is a limited lifespan to all wormers before the worms develop resistance.
Oh thank uGlad you found Lily!
And Era is a handsome chap![]()
Wormwood is Artemisia absinthium - it is bitter and used as a flavoring in absinthe. It is mildly toxic and repels bugs like fleas and lice (a few leaves in the nest boxes would be a good idea maybe?).I've purchased a few plants call wormwood.
