Aussie-Chookmum
Obeying her avian masters
Well, shoot. I hate posting this. Ruby was drained just last Saturday. She had a GREAT few days! But she is indeed swelling up again and tonight she is back on her shelf. I’m a bit heartbroken. I really, really don’t want to have her euthanized. However, her little body might not be giving us a choice. I have a very busy weekend and the avian vet is closed Monday, so it would be Tuesday at the earliest. Sorry to be such a downer after all these months of helping her along, but I’m so sad about this. I had hoped her little molt would turn off her hormones and buy us some more time.![]()
Oh dear, I was hoping she would grow out of this condition too.Sorry to hear, Michelle, she has put up a good fight for so long and you have helped her live that best chickeny life
She’s a good chook and you’re a good egg, what will be, will be
We are all here for you if that time comes.
Ditto to what Scrambles said.

They always keep you guessing, I’ll just ride it out a bit longer and keep watching…she is my strange baby girl I guess so anything is possible.
