Oh Lord - I am doing leaves this afternoon too - but mine only like the bag once it is emptied - otherwise they assume it is some evil monster (related to the black feed bowl I assume!).

Mine are afraid of the bags, too. I can’t wait to bring them some leaves, though!

I decided not to fly today, but I hugged my plane, Told her the new name I warranted her with, and am heading to see my Chaco . Yes I love my horse too!

Right up High Again

Lilly was back on the high roost again last night. Check out how she got up with no trouble despite the leg.

So Farmer Bob was up before the sun again today to take her down.

Hmmm, pretty clever girl. Also noticed Phyllis being brave and claiming her spot before Lilly was settled. Hattie and Aurora at least knew enough to wait for Hen #1 to be settled, first!

Snow? In October? In the UK? WOW

Its been weirdly warm today but the forecast said we were due snow by the end of this month.

The main coop has been covered because we have severely cold weather and winds here

Today I braved leaving the girls too mingle for most of the day until their last meal.

The littles ran to me everytime I went out and I think the girls now know they mustn't be to harsh too them or big bird here (me) will be on their tails.

I waited until it was almost dark and put the babies into the big coop and fed them from the plate and made sure they had plenty too drink before making sure the wire was in place too separate them from the big girls. So all five are spending their first night together.

I feel like I did when I gave birth clucking around like a hen over her chicks.

Maybe I'll get a larger coop one day and just sleep with them
