Funny. I did exactly that!
Vet will indeed do a sample but won't prescribe unless he examines her.
MJ commented on our minds being similar just the other day. I hope you take that as a compliment. I know I do.

As far as her comb goes, this is Hattie from a day or so ago. It's pretty pale. How does hers compare?

And this is a non molting Aurora from the same day for comparison.

I just called my veterinarian. She said that I could take Beethov-Hen in anytime tonight if necessary. Lauren knows how much my chickens mean to me. I called Paul at the hanger to prep my eagle and start flight clearance on my request. If I have to fly to save my lady, I certainly will!
I pray she is able to safely pass that egg for you and fully recover.

There are two of these. They are Golden Comets. Golden Comets are a favourite breed down here in the West Country. Some are full on battery hens but many are/were partially free ranged. Both these know a lot about digging and both are prepared to venture quite far afield, until recently on their own. During the past few days Henry 11 goes with them and stands guard while they forage. One in particular seems to be one of Henry's favourites.View attachment 2865967View attachment 2865969View attachment 2865971View attachment 2865972
Good for them. Having a rooster to watch over them is a sure way to increase their chances of surviving a while.

My Beautiful Beethov-Hen is in trouble. She’s got an egg inside and wants it out. I’m here with her now, massaging her fluffy everything. She tried to lay in the coop, but couldn’t. What ever it takes, I’m not losing my best hen!!
Keep us updated. We are praying for her. :hugs :hugs
