There are sixteen hens in there. It has to be cleaned out every day. The closest hens are in what was meant to be a nest box. The roof where the box joins the main coop leaks.
The floor to the main coop and the nest box needs replacing.
One side of the roof over the main coop needs replacing.
There is just so much to do.

Polish were Mrs BY Bob's thing but I find them to really be special hens. All 3!

I had a great day with my chickens, but I miss my Chaco tonight. I’m thinking about grabbing a sleeping bag drive to my other property, and set all night with my beautiful horse. (Until those men in white coats come and take me away) yes I would love to go see her tonight!

Actually it’s only a 34 minute drive from here

Yesterday Kiko and I went on a late afternoon stroll. She likes to perch on my shoulder as we go on our afternoon walks. She’s the little chick that I rescued back in May, she is a very special one indeed.

I have done that drive so many times. I really don’t like driving at night after dark. The back roads are not lit up well

I’m not going to talk about it anymore …. I’m going to lock up and go see my Chaco. (I have apples and carrots for her treats) and I’m taking my SUV so I won’t be sleeping on the ground tonight
