Ugh. Not stay on it, get rid of it! It was originally done as an electricity savings measure...because we are too out of tune with nature.
The idea of staying on it means more light at the end of the day (time wise). It also means getting up in the dark. Currently we spend 5 months of the year NOT on it and 7 on it. May as well stay on it then (is the general philosophy I think). Different states have different rationale for why. Currently Arizona is the only state that doesn't have a time change. the other states have to get some kind of congressional/capitol hill approval to implement staying on daylight savings. if I understood what I read correctly, no state has to have approval to stay OFF daylight savings. Not sure how I feel: leave for work in the dark or come home from work in the dark.

So far today, the tribe has been split in half. Outside and in the coop. Who is where is in a constant flux. Thing was building a ground nest in the coop BEHIND the pots provided for the purpose this morning. Silver was in it later in the day, then Nellie laid an egg in it. Haven't caught Cheetah telling them to lay there (he did in a different corner), but there are currently 3 more holes dug in the coop, none of them in the pots. The pots are staying until sometime next summer/fall just to see if someone goes broody in them. If someone is going broody (cause the tribe delegated the job to them), I'm going to have to be vigilant in stealing eggs. Most of the girls are too young and the eggs are too small yet, not to mention the coming weather. Next spring will be different (and I'm likely to steal some eggs from my MIL). Until then, NO!:rant:he:mad:

Waiting for further development on this,

Big scare for me today. I came back from town, and I couldn’t find my Arizona. All the rest came running to greet me. I looked everywhere for her, and sat outside a while. I heard a noise in a tree, and it seems she is a tree climber. She was up ten to twelve feet in that tree. I bribed her down with a can of corn 🌽 :idunno:th
