Well, shoot. I relooked at the photos in this post and agree Volt is unlikely to recover. I’m sorry and sincerely hope she has a few more good days. Does she seem to be enjoying herself when she’s out and about?

Unfortunately not Michelle. She looks sick and miserable. I doubt she will last another day but if she does I/w will put her out of her misery.

You two and all your car talk. I am NOT a vehicle person. Could not care less as long as it RELIABLY gets me where I need to go with a reasonable degree of comfort. My little brother, on the other hand, is totally into it. He even designs and builds custom high performance parts! His very first vehicle was a ‘76 (?) refurbished Buick Skylark that had been my uncles’s. He just loves building up and driving muscle cars.

I guess Elon Musk is going to really upset a few petrol heads with his 0 to 60mph in around 1 second creation.

I went on a rant yesterday keyed by something Shad posted. We are now poking fun at each other over it. That was not serious. Lots of sarcasm in there.

That’s great. I have a flaw where I tend to be very literal and sometimes miss sarcasm. Especially now with social media. Ironically, sarcasm is one of my favorite ways of expression.

Thanks. How about the way they interact with different levels within the hierarchy? The part I find most interesting is that they are more tough on those directly benesth them than they are on those a few steps lower. Perhaps because those right under them could potentially dethrone them?

The potential dethroning is my newbie (ie pretty ignorant) theory. (Edit: I think Bob clued me in on this.)The ones right beneath them are by position the biggest "threat." Though keeping the lower ones in place also occurs. But this begs the question has anyone seen a chicken suddenly ascend in rank by leaps rather than working their way up past others one at a time? Guessing it would occur if some in the upper echelons we're wiped out maybe. What about when a hen stops laying due to age?

Sydney does not really trouble with Phyllis too much but she has shown interest in pecking the Phyllistines. Of course everyone below Aurora has shown interest in keeping them down, so to speak.
