She is a lot more animated today, which is promising! As usual, I'm late to the party. I'm hoping as I catch up I read that she is doing better...but in the meantimefor both you and River.

What about when a hen stops laying due to age?
I don't know. She's 2.5 years old and I didn't notice a moult last year, so she's been over due. Wyandottes were bred for colder climates far enough back in history that record keeping either didn't happen or was lost. Maybe they knew something about moulting traits and bred for slow moult? That is very similar to Sansa. I wonder if it is a Wyandotte thing......![]()
I'm with you on the "home page" stuff. Today I managed to close the tab to byc so had to navigate around a bit. Panic moment: how do I get back to...wait what page was I on?!Thank you, @BY Bob!
LOL, I don't have a 'house' showing, as I recognize that has 'home'.
However, when I hovered over the BYC logo (by accident, mind you), suddenly a 'wooden sign' that said 'home' popped up!!
This probably sounds funny to you all...but other than when I first joined, I haven't gone to the home page....I just click on a 'fluffy butt' notification and it brings me right here...where I want to be most of the timeanyways.
How do you people always beat me to those?! This is so cool.

Being a nurseMy wife had a hard time loving those big black feathered, black legged chickens. It took her a while as you can see how different they were from our leghorns.
Such beautiful mugs. Especially that last one!Monday Mugs! Had to go into the archives again.

I still think the same thing is happening. Somehow the yellow faded out and you were left with a blueish egg at the end. No matter what you have a beautiful colored egg.But it was green when wet and bluish when dry?
Thanks. I will try and pump her up. Your scale works great by the way.I am so sorry Bob. It is frightening how well they hide illnesses.
While you wait for the vet don't forget yo get calories into her. Corn, worms, even Gatorade!!
I am really hoping she comes through this.
And for you a big hug.![]()
The little white ones with the pretty orange legs were her favorites. Patsy and Lilly were so big compared it was quite a shock. She loves them though in the end.Being a nurse, she should understand that diversity is not a bad thing!
