This reminded me of poor Aurora last winter.

Oh my gosh! Poor Aurora! This was filtered out on my work wifi, so I just got to see it. I can see how chickens can get stuck in the snow and get frost bite. Poor thing! I’m glad you rescued her.

It’s funny, because I’m not really on much during the work week. Took a 5-minute break, happened to hit the home button, and there was Phyllis!

I know. You beat me this time but I actually checked this morning and saw that there was not a POW posted. I was too early!

I can find no mites on her. Here is a picture of her father beds. I don't see anything.

This is not. Look at her wing feathers. There are only center stems.

The worst, she is 3.1 lbs. Everyone learn from me. I have never weighed her before so I have no idea how far down she is. Assuming she has a fighting weight the same as Lilly (similar in appearance) she should be 5 lbs.

At this point I think she is going to the vet. I'm going to get her an appointment tomorrow. I have no idea how long it will take to get her in but this is not right and I have never seen nor heard of anything like it.

Good luck Sansa. Get better and grow some beautiful golden feathers.

That can happen. Blue eggs fade as they dry and become pale. I'm not sure why it happens, but it does.

But it was green when wet and bluish when dry?

I guess it's a pullet still adjusting. But now I'm not sure what her actual egg color is?

I am so sorry Bob. It is frightening how well they hide illnesses.
While you wait for the vet don't forget yo get calories into her. Corn, worms, even Gatorade!!
I am really hoping she comes through this.
