Thanks. Yes, I agree 100% they are Red Shouldered Hawks, based on the calls. One seems to live here at the pond, but maybe the others were migrating. The local has been stalking the girls for a few weeks. We have other hawks that sometimes hang out, as well. Once we had a threesome of hawks I could not identify at the time. They had banding like the Red Shouldered hawks, but looked more blonde and the wings were chunkier and shorter. Almost like mini Red Tail Hawks, except with banding. I'm not sure what that would be. We have Coopers and Sharp Shinned hawks here, as well. It's just the Red Shouldered that call all year round here. I occasionally hear a Red Tail hawk, but rarely see them right here at my house.
