Little sweetie.For MJ
I think she already does feel that way BobLilly never stops surprising me. I just hope that one of them will start to hang with her soon so she is not alone too long. I need her to want to live.![]()

Yes, I think RC is right, she will talk with you if you encourage it. If you can, spend extra time with her and talk all the while. It will be a comfort to her (and you!)I think chatty will return. Maybe she needs you to talk to her for a bit.
I agree.Thank you Bob. It gives me a lot of joy to see your videos!
You know what? I think she's already doing her best to adjust and with a few more days, she'll be just fine.
First impression, she's taking care of herself, good. I am less sure about enjoyment, the sounds - that screechy sound, is a needing-wanting-looking type sound, not a happy content sound, is it? But she's coming along! Some Good News
It appears that Sylvie is through the shock phase. I am outside with her and she is enjoying herself out in the yard.
I agree. She'll be chatty again soonI think chatty will return. Maybe she needs you to talk to her for a bit.
Can the shock of a near-miss kill them? The physical functions stop working well, need for warmth and water increased. She may have been a long time without either. Heart attack? Not a Hawk
I think it is very likely that it was something other than a hawk that killed Legertha. I will be taking her for a necropsy. There are absolutely no signs of trauma that I can find. Not a feather seems out of place. I can find no wounds. Whatever happened, I think the red tails are off the hook.
Check out her wing in this photo. Everything is where it should be.
She weighed 1.83 lbs. Still so young.
I look forward to learning the results of her necropsy. It'll be good to pin her death on something specific. Not a Hawk

Does she still want daddy cuddles?I fear that she will never be my chatty little girl again. She is having to grow up very suddenly.![]()
