Hmmmmmmm, I did overbuild the coop to accommodate up to ten......NO!........MUST STAY STRONG!..........4 IS ENOUGH.............

Just had to reply to this (I am still working through your stories!).

This spring I got 2 wee silkie chicks.... Then figured why the heck I will get 3 more silkies. The first two unfortunately we're killed by a fox .

So that left three lovely little hens

Then people (niece, cousin) started giving me their chicks and hens...

Have 14 now.... This time last year all I had where 4 elderly horses!!!

So Bob if I can do it, so can you - get more hens!!!!

(FYI - my young pullets r laying blue and green eggs )

We absolutely LOVE snow!! We have gotten snow 5 times in my 51 years... December 2017 we had the most snow we’ve ever had and it brought joy incomparable!!! We all become elated children! As it is a sight to behold down here... I can’t even express the amount of joy it brings us.. really!! I can understand the attraction of a lovely snowfall, so pretty

But from my perspective having winter from the first of November until April, dealing with -20 to -30c cold, shoveling snow, cleaning off my truck almost every day....

The attraction wears off fast

Bob will agree with me I am sure haha!

Yes winter is miserable, cold, dreary, stressful....

Oh no, there is a big difference between us. Bob has a thing for white chickens and I have a thing for black chickens. Naturally a beautiful black-and-white chicken can ensnare us both.

The ladies look lovely! So nice to see them again I suspect part of Phyllis' photo bombing is just trying to be near her feather-less rooster. I'm sure they all missed you. (we did too, so nice to have you back, at whatever level you can handle!)

Bob, you know me more than many people here. I was asked to fly out to Utah today. I feel sad for Emily, but I do need to go on with my personal life. Do you think I might be safe doing so? Plan is to be back by Sunday for church deacon duties

It is Friday and Maggie is flaunting her fluffy butt. Diana tried to do the same, but truth is that Diana is a bit challenged in the fluffy butt department.
