No, not every day. I go armed with it in case Maggie's crop is stuck but because of the 4am alarm call I am missing out on checking Maggie's crop first thing. So then I just decide to let her eat it anyway.

It was bound to happen. Diana managed to fly up to Minnie’s roost. Minnie of course immediately flew away from it.
Diana now realizes it isn’t such a great roost so she has gone back to where she started.
I think Maggie has it right, the nest box is the only place to get some peace and quiet.

Wow! Her face is so clean! At my house, hens have been eating watermelon and have dust stuck all over their faces.

You should see her feet - caked in mud!
I think her face got clean when she pecked my ankles and sleeve.

Well in all honesty the food served is the result of my need to clear out both fridge and freezer.
Both the Princesses and I are eating an eclectic diet of often unlabeled items that I combine creatively once I figure out what they may be.

I once was all ready to add a frozen lump of something I thought was meat to a sauce, bit before I did it turned out to be cookie dough (molasses, so it was dark).
Tax:
Peanut is feathering out but still shivering, she can't really fluff up yet. Her wings are all scrawny still. She is sleek now, and she looks like a pullet. All legs and big feet!
