Now you're making me feel worried.

I've done everything humanly possible too keep them warm and safe. I bought a special material too cover the entire coop and run and they have the best straw shredded wood plus a thermal lining underneath their straw.

They were toasty last time I looked. I don't want to open doors too let their heat out now.

I am sure they are fine

As long as they are not wet and not in a draft, they will be fine. My kiddos started roosting early tonight I guess they were fed up with the cold hahaha.

I just heard from the avian vet… Ester had advanced ovarian cancer.

I'm sure this is hard to hear, but it confirms that you did the right thing to have her euthanized.

I think i need the pirates to give me new socks. I apparently have no boots and only small shoes like sandles! Bad choice on my end with 8 1 / 2 inch snow!

I would offer my boots - good to -70C high enough for you deep snow.... But I need them here !!
