No one has been up there for a while. I hope you enjoyed your time.
What is that at the back of her head, that red patch? Or is it something behind her?Hahaha too funny, have the same issue with the horses, they would rather drink from a puddle in the paddock than walk up to the barn and drink from the nice clean water trough...

Thanks Ribh. I tried my best but I didn't have enough knowledge. It is always easy to be wise in hindsight, MJ.Sandy had a wonderful life with you. Out of all the places she could have landed she landed with you & was much loved & cared for.
OK sorry no pictures of the Buckeyes standing on the Omlet roost bars, but I did measure them (This pic is the bars on storage bins.) The gang spent all their time out and about in both runs, scratching and whatnot, had no interest in visiting when I opened the coop back to clean, and when I went skiing they were beginning what must have been a pretty wild dustbath party because everything in the vicinity of the dirt/ash/peat/rocks/sand pool is now coated with dust. How do the omlet roosting bars compare to one long roost? Can the hens easily grasp the omlet bars? They look a bit too close together to me but I've never seen it up close.

I like what I'm getting off you by reading your thoughtful posts. Just saying@BY Bob, I am so glad you are starting to turn the corner...hope you keep improving. Hope also that, though physically taxing, it was emotionally gratifying to be with your girls for a bit.
@RoyalChick seems like you are on the mend, being able to eat - I am sure you are aware that heavy, greasy/fatty foods aren't the best after what you went through, so limit those meal worms![]()
@featherhead007 please follow Dr. orders. somehow you seem to only sort-of-kinda follow them. We like having you around reading your puns, so take care of yourself! Your chooks need you, and we need your levity.
