Greetings Chiquita!
Maybe be too!!!! All mixed in with horse poop hahaMine always eat the snow off my boots
No one has been up there for a while. I hope you enjoyed your time.Something to be said for 'mutt-dom' too. Hybrid vigor only happens in the first cross between 2 breeds. Mutts generally are healthier because of the varied gene pool, not so prone to one specific disease or another. Think: ancient royal familys. Often had genetic conditions because of 'in-breeding'...mating only within the royal family blood-lines. Whether humans like it or not, diversity is best in so many senses/areas!
Okay...soap box being neatly stashed away....

I do not do this. The only heat I provide is from the cozy coop and only for Phyllis as she has to sleep alone.@micstrachan and/or I think, @ChicoryBlue use a heating pad. Wrap it around the roost, then wrap and old towel around that (to protect the pad & moderate the direct heat some), fasten the towel (ball bungies work great) on and viola', toasty warm roosts. ?@BY Bob might have tired this, too.
I haven't doen this as I have no electricity at my coop, but whichever one posted that idea previously seemed to like it/stated it worked well for them.
That one sure looks camouflaged!
Hahaha, the first snow here I lost ButtercupThat one sure looks camouflaged!![]()

Those sunflower seeds went down a treat!A Few Minutes of Free Range
Despite feeling awful I still got the ladies out for a bit. They were none too thrilled with all the snow about and did not way past stay put long. Thankfully I did not have to stay out for long. I tossed them some sunflower seeds. Notice how reluctant Hattie was to venture far from the door. I had to call her to get her to even come out at all.
Also no song birds singing.![]()
