I have been vandalized! Last night someone or several, got into my yard and punctured my tires on the bird mobile (Lexus) why would anyone chance breaking into my yard? It’s gonna be costly to replace two tires. A sheriff report is filed, and I will talk to the insurance agent on Monday. Breakins and vandalism is increasing in this area. (The deputy warned me) I even padlocked the coop last night.:(:barnie
Well that is sad. I'm so sorry this happened to you. What purpose does doing that serve? ☹

WHAT is this? Rocks-Anne was just now attempting to lay an egg. This was the result. She’s an older lady though. It does have a full hard shell. But kinda small! :idunnoView attachment 2978045
The old fairy egg. It can happen as they age. I would not worry too much

A Short Break

It looks like we may be free from snow cover in a few days.

I expect to be providing some free range time by the end of the week. They will be so excited! The big question will be do I let Betty and Phyllis out or not? The "quarantine" will not reach 2 weeks until next Tuesday.

That would be any breed that has a splash variety, or Paint silkies, or a silver spangled hamburg. The options are endless.
Hamburg size will fit the silkies ok too. Just ask Cheetah....hes smaller than all but 1 hen. Gold penciled, but otherwise....

Are you going to spray that wear area with no feathers so the others aren't tempted to peck at it. That pretty awful. Poor girl. 😧
I’ll keep an eye on her. The other two are much younger than her so I would have thought she’d be higher up the pecking order.

The chooks are going to want breakfast soon. I’m thinking about scrambled eggs and corn for their breakfast. But I still have leftover lasagna 🤔
All this talk about lasagna. I have chili int he crock pot, cornbread will be with it tonight, and lasagna is going on the menu.
