Reminiscing

2 Years ago yesterday and today our tribe doubled in size. They arrived 2/9/20.

They emerged from the coop the next morning and began exploring their new house.

They are lovely hens all. :love I never regretted taking them all in.

It's a real shame that Sansa is not here today. She was my friend and I miss her little honk. May she rest in peace the poor girl.

I'll always remember trying to feed them blueberries that first day. Sansa would not let the other 2 have any. I had to pick her up and hold her so the other 2 could have some. She loved blueberries. 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐
Has it been that long? My word, that time flew.

The attack site was under the magnolia tree which was their refuge from the Red Tailed Hawks which were their previous top predator. They do still go under the magnolia tree and even stopped to groom there today.

The Cooper's Hawk is so much more dangerous than the Red Tailed Hawk even though it is smaller.
The world turned upside down that day 😭 :hugs 😢 :hugs
