They are resilient. Had a hen get her scalp pulled nearly off by a rooster. We cleaned her wound, applied a liberal dose of neosporin and in a couple weeks you could not tell she had ever been injured.So far, so good!I can't even see the wound in her mouth anymore (not that she is cooperative about that, though!)
I plan on doing one last check tomorrow before giving her a good bill of health. I am always amazed at how quickly chickens heal.
Maybe a pedicure and bath/blow dry too! Jaffar needs a spa day!!!

He has his phone running again. We're texting this morning. He was so tired heading to make the phone call Tuesday that he fell asleep on the march over to the call center.Congratulations! It is a big achievement.

I saw a few blades of green in my lawn.....so did the chickens...shocked as I was to see it.I almost went into stitch at the sight of the green grassoh and the happy chickies checking for who knows what in that green grass
A couple of my hens got into my feedroom where I had a couple petunia baskets stored... New leaves on the plants... Gone! Brats
