I gave Jaffar a big hug today. I received my BYC calendar (that he won for me in the contest) He was probably thinking “Gezz daddy, not in front of my ladies !”

Polycystic ovarian Syndrome. Sometimes called PCOD now (polycystic ovarian disease) Essentially cysts on ovaries. Hormonally based, but it messes with other hormones that mess with metabolism (makes you insulin resistant, etc.)What is PCOS? Do I want to know?
Wow, I think both parties were flustered!! The hens seeing a predator so close...and the fox saying 'gosh dinner...I'm so hungry...how do I get into the diner???"Ah yes. Like this?
Or this?
That is so exciting! The turner is removed and I saw movement in all 3 eggs. Now let the incubator stalking begin!
Aawww...that looks like a calgon moment. Why wouldn't she want one a week, at least???? What a nice, warm bubble bath! This is Soda getting a bum bath & her ulceration treated.
Her comb & wattles are a lot paler now but I haven't a recent photo. She's been skittish since the bathing.

I bookmarked this. I'm exhausted and I'm not in the right mental state to read this tonight. Maybe tomorrow. I promise to read it at some point. This isn't the article I previously mentioned, but @BY Bob & @micstrachan you will probably want to read this:
(some went over my head due to my lack of in depth biology knowledge, but I did certainly follow it generally.)

Hooray!I made a prediction about a month ago that I felt Baby would lay her first egg before Corona did based on comb development. Both girls the last few days have been scoping out the nest spots. This morning I noticed Baby desperately trying to get into the porch nest boxes while for once both were occupied. On a hunch I carried her out to the pen where Chiquita lays and locked her in for privacy. It was not long before Baby began singing the song of her people, which she did for a solid hour. In Chiquita's nest was a perfect speckled pullet egg. She took after her momma Clover when it comes to eggs, brown with dark speckles.
