I forgot to post these the other day when we were weighing in on footprints in the snow.
It turns out I was not the only creature that sank into the mud on the day it all (temporarily) thawed.
This is right up against the walk of the Chicken Palace.
I posted three pictures in case one reveals something the others don’t.
How many creatures and what are they. I think I know all but one.

So a little house update for here (I’ve redirected the bulk of my house chat) battling relatively high winds and rain but making progress adding two mor windows to my moms room for light, we have our south wall closed in and should be getting the front (North) door done Thursday. This is why you’re not seeing more goat adventures and chicken pictures. Tax

It’s close to a chicken pic and not moving! Breakfast…

Something is Up with Lilly

Check out what she is doing. Part of the time she is a normal chicken and then she just stops and sits like this. She was free ranging like normal a minute before she sat down here.

I am concerned to say the least but she is not leaving her friends and going to roost like Hattie. I will give her tonight but I may need to act tomorrow.

Bob, I’m sorry I did not answer this and might not catch up until tomorrow. I am sorry to say I do not like this one bit. Is her tail pumping? Can you see if her vent us puckering? Or is she all better now? My girls also do that right before molt, but that’s unlikeky for her now, right? Actually, my Lucky is dropping a few feathers for the third time in s year, so who knows?!

I will admit. I trim… it’s too cold and wet to be washing the chicken bottoms so when the dingleberries get dry and I have the opportunity… snip, snip! With the numbers I have and the mud we get baths just aren’t feasible. The bigger girls, especially the meat bird holdbacks have the WORST bottoms!

I see the hose there, but most of the garden looks dry. Wonder if you watered it regularly if you would grow more rocks in that garden - it's kinda sparcely planted atm.
