Absolutely gorgeous! Those two boys are very handsome! (the girls are pretty, too !!) Dixie Chixie looks like he has a bit more of the silkie feathering, no? It does look soft & silky in the picture.....most excellent!!

Yes his mum is Fluffy McNugget and he got the silkie genes for sure.

Dickie Boys mum Curly McNugget is a frizzle but he didn't get any of the special genes, his feathering is normal. Go figure!

It was a beer commercial campaign… I think for Budweiser it started up as “whasssup?” And then they did a “waaaasaaabi” it was quite annoying

I love their horse commercials, do a search for Budweiser Clydesdale ads. Outstanding

Budweiser needs to add chickens to their repertoire! Like Mercedes did love that ad!

Things are changing for Ivy. A moment ago she found a bug and ran off with it, pursued by Mary. She came to a screeching halt and ate the bug, and then ... Mary didn't chastise her.

Perhaps it's because Janet is ageing, perhaps it's because Ivy sat on eggs something else entirely?

That is definitely interesting and bears more observation.

At times for certain. And she should. Hattie lost her position by not alerting the tribe to danger. Aurora has worked hard to be #2.

Big black birds.
It seemed today there was a convention of big black birds in the field outside the Chicken Palace.
There was a large hawk calling out (the Chickens were aware of its presence and stayed in their covered run).
The crows were running interference and making a lot of noise.
Then there were the vultures. These were not turkey vultures, they were black vultures. What is scary is that black vultures do not limit themselves to carrion - they will take live prey and are known to be able to take down a newborn calf.
Yikes!
