What is with this winter! It just keeps giving....Mine said, "Bok this! Wind blowing snow up my feathers! Going inside!"
Snowing sideways when got home. All tucked up.
My two 20 week roosterlets were going at it, blood and all.100% agree. I’ve only had two or three really bad fights that ended in significant bloodshed since I started keeping the free range group, there will be little squabbles, usually extremely brief, and usually there are no injuries. People are the problem… completely and totally. Don’t get me started, on all the disgusting things people do to animals. I read about the guy that was killed by his bird… and I have to say sometimes people do get what they deserve. Significant fights always seem to come around spring, and sometimes are 2:1 which is usually when I have to REALLY intervene, fully separate the “loser”. There Have been a Few Changes in my top Rooster. Sammy then Dean and Cass knocked him out of top spot together and Dean took over, Sammy had rejoined the flock when Cass became #1, when I lost Cass to the raccoon Sammy took over again, then there was the last big fight with Dean, and I think Dean Has “top spot” again but the girls still mostly follow Sammy and listen to his alarms more attentively.
Oh no! Sorry to hear that, what was she doing? Poor geegeeChaco has been taken to the veterinarian hospital for observation. I couldn’t treat her on the property. Some type of infection but I’m not sure what it is. She’s in good spirits, but doesn’t like the ride in the trailer very much.

It's ok your fur friend is ill...
Beautiful tax.Yes, but in nature (not our altered settings for them) Rarely do they fight each other to death....many times the 'loser' chooses to run/hide and look for hens and territory elsewhere. AND they generally only really fight at the normal mating season, not year round.
I agree whole-heartedly with the stiffer penalties thought. Really, a bribe is double the penalty of having multiple animals fight to the death?
But then, humans have been barbaric in this regard for centuries. From Romans in the colosseum forcing prisoners to fight wild animals to public square guillotining and hangings to 'lynching parties'. Very
sad sometimes what we call 'entertainment'. I can't even watch boxing!
Tax: Some Fluffy bottoms for Friday

Not just for pasta, for everything!Because Mrs @ BY Bob uses it in/on her pasta dishes?![]()
That is pretty incredible. Wow!What chickens do to pine needles. They will all eventually be just nubbins [about 1/2 in or so (~1.5 cm) long]
