The original tums have been discontinued. There are chewable and flavored options on looking further theres calcium with fillers sweeteners and fillers. :he
I have been searching so hard that I'm mentally exhausted and could just fall asleep

Metals have a bad effect on me but i would risk a little aluminium for a little booster of calcium in my own body
They are flavored here too - Kris says hers eat the berry flavor.
This Calcium Citrate doesn't contain anything nasty that I can see. You should be able to get this one.

Yes, there is dextrose and a little sucrelose and dyes and flavours. If a hen is in a way where she needs the extra calcium badly enough for me to be direct dosing her with a calcium product (rather than her getting an appropriate amount from their feed and supplemental oyster shell free choice) then a little bit of “other” stuff isn’t that high on my concern list. So far it hasn’t done any harm to my girls, and Tiny got quite a bit initially when she started laying, it was definitely some sort of not diet issue with her. I gave her enough that she produced a couple of fairly vibrant pink eggs, yet she’s still here healthy as can be…

Yes, but in nature (not our altered settings for them) Rarely do they fight each other to death....many times the 'loser' chooses to run/hide and look for hens and territory elsewhere. AND they generally only really fight at the normal mating season, not year round.

I agree whole-heartedly with the stiffer penalties thought. Really, a bribe is double the penalty of having multiple animals fight to the death?

But then, humans have been barbaric in this regard for centuries. From Romans in the colosseum forcing prisoners to fight wild animals to public square guillotining and hangings to 'lynching parties'. Very
sad sometimes what we call 'entertainment'. I can't even watch boxing!

Tax: Some Fluffy bottoms for Friday :)

100% agree. I’ve only had two or three really bad fights that ended in significant bloodshed since I started keeping the free range group, there will be little squabbles, usually extremely brief, and usually there are no injuries. People are the problem… completely and totally. Don’t get me started, on all the disgusting things people do to animals. I read about the guy that was killed by his bird… and I have to say sometimes people do get what they deserve. Significant fights always seem to come around spring, and sometimes are 2:1 which is usually when I have to REALLY intervene, fully separate the “loser”. There Have been a Few Changes in my top Rooster. Sammy then Dean and Cass knocked him out of top spot together and Dean took over, Sammy had rejoined the flock when Cass became #1, when I lost Cass to the raccoon Sammy took over again, then there was the last big fight with Dean, and I think Dean Has “top spot” again but the girls still mostly follow Sammy and listen to his alarms more attentively.

Chaco has been taken to the veterinarian hospital for observation. I couldn’t treat her on the property. Some type of infection but I’m not sure what it is. She’s in good spirits, but doesn’t like the ride in the trailer very much.
