Anybody know how to catch a stubby little Cochin rooster? There’s a great WW2 documentary on YouTube now, and I would imagine that Jaffar would like to see it. But he’s been evading me. (Busy with his ladies I guess) :idunno
Maybe he wants to watch something else...

Try Castle, always a good murder mystery. 😊

Such a wonderful change for once with the weather. And I was so happy all the chickies were able to get out and about. They were in and out and in and out of the barn all day!

Can't wait till they can get out all the time 🤗🤗💖💖 winter is always hard on all livestock - even my horses were happy today !!

Oh I found another soft shelled egg broke. I am sure it is from my 20 wk pullet Dorothy. Rose laid an egg yesterday and today, Dorothy laid one yesterday, i know this because I watched them like a hawk! She didn't visit the nest box today. I found the broken soft egg on top of a location they like to roost on during the day. It seems that they are just falling out of her!

I don't think she realizes she passes them as she doesn't make a peep or act like she needs to lay one.

Well as long as she is ok I am not too worried.

Clearly you have had enough 'house chickens' for them to not be all that much of interest to her!

Please remind me of how much s/he weighs, as I have forgotten. My cat, Cleo, is, unfortunately, not much of a deterrent...she is under 7 lbs. (6 lbs, 7 ounces or so, I've now forgotten exactly.) I'm afraid she would be as apt to be taken as a chicken...except she could fight back better.
I need to weigh her again. She seems to be over 20lbs at this point, easy.
