Thank you. I will. I am aware this is going to be extremely stressful on the girls, I hope with all my heart it doesn’t push anyone over the edge and will do as much as I possibly can to keep them healthy and happy. Daylight savings is coming, which will help; they will get an hour more of free range time and they days are just getting longer.

As far as being patient with the humans, I have been packing for weeks and nobody else around here has done anything. As you know I suffer from high blood pressure and tachycardia and am really trying to keep my own stress level down, as well. I am the only one in the family who works full time all year round every year, and I think it’s fair for me to expect some help.
Most definitely!

That sucks Michelle, I think it’s more than fair that you expect some help! :hugs

So I wasn’t physically able to move Chickie Hawk’s tractor today (they all need some fixing up for mobility) so I dared to throw the door open for a bit. He showed his ladies much nice grass, scared off several of the jerk chickens (they quickly decided they didn’t like his girls that much and had somewhere else to be. It was actually going quite well until he started to attract too much attention from the newer ladies (a few of the brown girls have been showing some interest in him and the girls that look more like them) then Sammy started to get not happy with that. I tossed him some treats and some back into the run for Hawk and everyone ended up going to bed with the right girls. I also really didn’t want to try to sort out who was who of the nearly identical production girls…View attachment 3019959
Glad he was able to provide some behavioral adjustment lessons to the Brat Pack. Sorry it couldn't last longer. Is mobility restoration on the projects list for the move after the roof?

Well word of mouth has gotten out in my area that I sell eggs. Yesterday evening there was a knock on the door. It was someone who lived on up the road who had been told I sold eggs and she wanted to buy 2 dozen. I was shocked as I'd never met her before, but numbers were exchanged and now she wants 2 dozen every week and a half. Afterwards I went out with a special treat for the girls Honeydew melon. I feel they deserved it as they are finally paying for their chicken feed.

Wow. That is wonderful. The only word of mouth around here is that I give free eggs so everyone brings me empty cartons - I could build a fortress of egg cartons.
So far I have had precisely three eggs this year!

Thanks, Bob. It turns out the realtor sign was put up at the wrong house! 🤣 But the fact that another nearby house (which is flagged as a tear-down, but still lusting at over $700K) is going on the market makes this place even more desirable. DH still may get the development job, but I still plan to move. This back and forth is seriously going to give me a heart attack. DH yelling at me when I was disappointed he is now saying he doesn’t have to pick up the coops tomorrow? That stress might kill me first.
I'm so sorry. It can be so difficult. :hugs :hugs
