But sometimes they unexpectedly pop back in… 😆 I’m hoping that it’s probably just things being too busy. It’s enough just keeping up with the chickens, never mind those trying to do that and work, with kids, toss in a little pandemic, nightmare weather patterns, random life BS… I hope even those that do drop off are doing ok, hopefully still keeping their tribes, and just not able to share as much of their time with us right now (speaking as one of those people myself.)
I like to think the same things. I do think Ali is completely gone. Her user name is no longer usable. She must have deleted her account. 😕

Me too. Branch is my baby but he has made it hard on me to paint him in a good light with my mom. It is all his own fault. I think he likes to annoy her just for fun. He is for the most part a quiet rooster, she comes outside, he stares right at her and crows his fool head off. He bit her at 5 months old and left a mark, which she held a grudge over. She speaks to him, he growls at her. Do you know how hard it is for me to say he is a good boy when the idiot does that crap, and only towards her? I finally convinced her to work with him, hold him occasionally and maybe he would not hate her as much. I showed her his sweet spots where to rub or scratch to have him melt in your arms. It is working, although it was working slowly until Friday. If I can get her to fall in love with him I do not care if she calls him a jerk for the rest of his life.
He does not like her. Something must have happened between them without you knowing. Something your Mum doesn't even understand that she did.

This is what I got! Need 3, but got 1 to try, don't like the 'sifter' part because the really small pieces fall through, so lined the bottom with a thin sheet of cardboard (thanks @RoyalChick ). If it works okay, will get 2 more.

Thank you all( @rural mouse , @ChicoryBlue , @BY Bob and any I missed!) for all your help!🧑‍🏫👩‍🏫👨‍🏫❣️
I've been using them since 2013. They work great.

I've been thinking about this. It started happening within a week of us cutting down a 'group' of 4 pines (set in a line, not far from coop/run) that needed to come down before they blew down on the house. [Note, there is no other way in for them BUT digging, as the rest has mesh wire over it, or for the coop proper, solid wood with mesh for ventilation ports]

There are still 2 VERY large pines in the run, but they need a crane, and estimates are $4500, so they will have to wait. The Flying Squirrels were on the pine in the run. Maybe it is just coincidence that the digging started when then were forcibly relocated by us cutting down the pines?? I'll have to relocate my 1 game cam to verify.
