For anyone willing to narrow down the guesses on the chipmunk chick here is a video and a couple of shots. The pics are from yesterday - so much growth in 24 hours!

I'm going with EE but only because I want it to be an EE. 😆

Mice are my biggest health worry as we have had cases of Hanta virus here - and with all the mice in the barn it worries me.

The consuming of the Ratak has slowed/stopped so I am guessing the population is dropping off. I will get in the loft tomorrow and see how the bait stations I posted there fared.

I have been keeping chicken food etc locked away esp at night so hopefully I can keep them under control.
Hanta is a worry - it is mostly in droppings and there needs to be a concentration to be really risky - I would wear a mask when cleaning out mouse nest areas, but I wouldn't worry too much just in the whole space of the barn if you see what I mean.

aka Hattie. She does not have a lavender orpington. (He said and then furiously went back to check the pictures)

Confirmed. Not with that face coloring.
Baby Hattie! So cute!
🥰
And yes, my little blue and white baby looks very different.

Oh no, Bob! I hope you’re feeling better. I’m behind and catching up.
A little better today. I'm sitting out with the girls right now. It's OK when the sun is shining but we had a thunder snow storm a little earlier and I had to go in.

A short time ago a red tailed hawk came by a little low but the crows ran it off.

It's so windy I have the BB gun with me today for protection. Hopefully I don't shoot my eye out.
