Oh no! So sorry.Well, seems the hawks are back. I was at my house (I moved in with hubby when we got married, my house is rented) yesterday meeting with a realtor and doing some of the spring clean-up. Hubby let the kids out to free range while I was gone. ..and locked everyone up last night. I let them out this morning, and one group is short a girl...one of my reds.I go looking around and see a 'puff' of red feathers about 50' away from their pen.
I come in and ask hubby if he heard any ruckus while they were out...'oh, yeah, sometime around 6pm there was.' Did you go out and check? 'No. they settled down after about 5 min."

That's how chicks are supposed to be!She me? I have not revealed.
I will share each one when they tell me their name.
They have a collective name already - The hooligans. Honestly they are crazy chicks!
I remember it taking quite awhile, and at first they were subtle. I’ll have to go back and look to be sure.Awww! Little Mill. So cute.
How old was she when her speckles came in?
Yes, you! You have not revealed where you got them? Love it!!!She me? I have not revealed.

Here are the two Roadrunners as chicks. Just like Flash.Ok, not the best pic (I mostly have video) but here are Sunshine, Flash and Flo as chicks on my son’s lap. Flash is in the middle. I believe females have darker chipmunk stripes than males, so perhaps we do have a little boy of some kind?
It is hard,as so many breeds have 'chipmunk chicks'...with only subtle differences. That, coupled with the differences within the breeds (i.e. chicks of the same breed vary some in teh striping, darkness, etc.) that it is really hard to tell for sure. Best we can do, I think, is eliminate some as 'not possible'. Would be nice if she gave us a hint or two!!!
