It's one of the things I loved about my leghorns. How like very large song birds they were. They can really fly!

50lb bag of Dumor chicken layer pellets, wasting away in my barn. The chickens just won’t eat them. Or the high protein it supplied (18% protein)

Send it here, my gals eat the paint off the barn door! I am sure they would eat that

Gosh, '21 was a shocker

21 was almost enough for me to give up. Instead I find myself even more connected to the ladies I do have and super grateful for them.

Of course add in the Lilly scare from earlier this year. It really was a tough road for 6 to 9 months.

I have found that animals do indeed have a sense of humour.

I know for certain my Arab mare does things to push my buttons - like opening all the stall doors, then going back in her stall while the rest tear the barn apart and get in trouble!

Or tipping the wheelbarrow over and running away, then stopping to look to see what I do....

I noticed that a couple of the chickies also do things like that. Buttercup will look to see if I am looking and will then run over peck someone and run back up to me look at me, sqwak and run away, catch me if u can...

They will jump on the round bale and slide down taking great swathes of hay as they go, and they do it over and over again!

Yep and when I fall down they all run over and see what I am doing on the ground! All looking at each other chuckling I am sure hahaha!
