The rainbow rangers CAN be barred (lots of variety) and the grey rangers (kosher kings), both meat hybrids.
I guess I never really thought of those as they are 'meat birds', not 'dual purpose' birds. Thanks for including them...I suspect we won't really be able to tell until they look like 'mini me' s ?probably another 3-4 weeks 'till they are pretty much all feathered in?

Hector is moving better with the feet wrapped than he was without the wraps. We'll see how things go tomorrow re: more wrap on him.
Do give us an update....I am hoping for significant improvement between B vitamins and the wrapping!:fl:fl I suspect you will need to re-wrap them for a while, though, given how curled they were...unless it was due solely to vit. deficiency.

I'm glad my suggestion was helpful.❤️

Thanks for your input on mystery gal!:love

That is what kicked in with me and strapping Bernadette’s foot into a boot splint. It just had to happen and there was only me to do it!
Now I have a whole new skill!

Speaking of that...how is her therapy & progress going? I was amazed at the improvement you made with her in just a few days between the boot and therapy. Such a good chicken mamma...all the massaging and exercise I am positive is a big part of the improvement...and the boot helps to 'maintain' the progress between sessions.:bow

Yes! I was really happy with it. It folds up really small for storage and the bottom is the real ground so they can scratch around.
I managed to get them all into the cat carrier without too much drama so it was a nice day out for them. They are so cute at this stage - they keep doing grown-up sort of things but are still really babies and need to nap after their crazy running around.
I am of course besotted.
Aught-oh..... I see some babies each year in your future, you are so besotted! Good thing you have such a large chicken palace.:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

I

will get pictures of her tomorrow.
Putting the chooks away, I took a pic of my “fat” hen. She’s a big girl, the largest one of the newer Rocks:
