This scary looking character is Rose, she is a sweetie.

Of Course you would say she is a sweetie......you aren't a WORM! 🪱 It looks very scary from down here...🪱

Mine eat egg shells very well.

I've seen a few pecking at it, but not much.

I feed AF for the protein. I used to have a rooster too; he died a couple weeks ago.

I found one other soft shelled mess on the poop board a few days after the first one, but that's it. No egg mess on any bums, and no egg eating either. Yay!!!
Feather fixer has a very high protein content. It does not have a high calcium content.

The poor Roadrunners suffer occasionally at the hands of Maggie. In different ways these are quite hard to watch. Mostly she just has to run towards them and they make themselves scarce. I can see why!

First of all, I would never lay in that bottom nest box. I've seen them hauled out of that box too many times. You would have to hover to pull me out of a nest box given the options you have.

Secondly, I'm seeing a lot of that behavior here from Hattie towards Sydney and Betty right now.

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry...definitely NOT holding still for the camera:

I'm starting to think the hatchery got it wrong on the Black & White Chick. s/he is exactly 3 weeks old today, and his/her comb is now much more prominent than any of the others.....I suspect 'she' is really a 'he'. Or am I just overly nervous and need to give it a few weeks before assuming the worst???
