Remember also that there were only 2 roadrunners...and only a couple bigs. Now there are 3 littles...one who is a bit weak (feet wise) AND 4 bigs. The flock dynamics are different for this introduction, too! They may well keep to their own a bit longer, given that each 'flock' is larger.
Good thought. The two Roadrunners joined a flock of 3 big Princesses. Now three Hooligans are joining a flock of 4 big Princesses (I guess that is chicken math!) so I was thinking it might not be so different. But I do think the 3 Hooligans are more of a tribe to themselves than just 2 Roadrunners were so they may indeed feel less interest in joining the bigs.
And they really are only a few days behind the milestones I noted for the Roadrunners.

Comb and wattles don't worry me...but the legs look quite hefty. How do they compare to the others of it's kind (whatever they are?)
Here is the one who I have been the most confident was a female all along.

Here is the other one who has a redder comb.

To me their legs all look the same.

Are these the 'reds' who may (or may not) be Cinnamon Queens?
If so, wouldn't they have been sex-linked? So if they were all the same as day-olds won't they all be the same gender?

Yes if they are Cinnamon Queens they are sex linked and the males would have been white. I got 3 chipmunks so in theory I should have 3 females. The issue is I'm not 100% sure they are Cinnamon Queens which throws the sex-link theory out the window.

Gotcha. I must say they are very pretty.
How old are they now?

They were 11 weeks this past Tuesday. Behavior wise they do not give me rooster vibes so I think they are girls. I'm hopeful in the end I will have 3 pretty red hens. If they are the "queens" they can begin laying as early as 16 weeks old. I just do not see that happening, they are still too immature looking to begin laying in just 5 weeks time. I personally hope they are not "Queens", and some unknown red hen.

My little chocolate cheepers Karen is a week old so it's time for a update. I am loving the colors I am seeing on this chick. I should note that it is raining and overcast today.

I hate that this one did not turn out, but you can see that yup, she's still a Karen.

That’s an “I want to speak to YOUR manager!” Look if ever I have seen one (and after a decade in customer service retail… I’ve seen a lot of those!)

Why don’t they just toss them all in one bin and label them “Rural King Surprise”, with a subtitle of “your guess is as good as ours (or probably better) as to both gender, and breed!”
