Yes they are time thieves. But at the end of a hard day of chicken and horse chores even if you cannot see that you got anything done you know it was well spent. I must confess I would rather be outside doing hard manual labor with them in the hot sun, then inside house cleaning. I could get chores done a lot faster then I do. But who is going to spend ages scratching Dirt's itchy spot that ends up being a full body massage? Letting Russ turn me into a human lollipop with his licking habit. Louis always needs his ears rubbed or scratched. And the chickens? They demand coffee breaks every hour so they can hop up onto my lap or gather around my feet to say hello. House work, you have none of these distractions and it is so mundane.Holy Dinah, I am not getting anything done, so far all day have done is clean stall. Still have water to do, and mow the grass, throw down hay, need to spray my paddocks weeds, get the other window removed from the hen house, fix some fencing Reenie damaged....
And it's lunchtime already !!!!
Chickens and horses are time thievesall I have done is play with the chickens brush horses chase chickens, play with horses, chase chickens again.....
