I am like that with my dad, I just pretend that he is either in AZ in the winter with mum, or at work, or in Newfoundland with mum during the summer. Compete denial, otherwise I would bawl and bawl and bawl.... My old stallion also, just cannot talk about him or think of him or look at pics of him without bawling...It's tough. I know Alex.
I still find myself looking for Lilly when I only count 4 hens outside, not to mention Sansa. And I have tried to block out Sylvie and Legertha completely like they never were.I never talk about them or even look at pictures of them.
These losses take time. One's like Patsy's seem easier to me. I was there for her like you were there for Rocks-Anne. I hope that helps but she will always be unforgettable to you.
That’s similar to what my Barney looked like, the idea of the prosthetic beak is a great one, I wish I had thought of something like that. If she isn’t having issues eating them I would just concentrate on keeping everything as clean as you canI just went out and grabbed Siri for some pictures. I had to resort to wrapping her up in a towel to keep her still. This is what I'm dealing with with her beak.

I understand, not a day goes by that I don't think about my dad. I push the cancer patient out of my mind and remember the guy that thought it was funny to try to put a snake on meI am like that with my dad, I just pretend that he is either in AZ in the winter with mum, or at work, or in Newfoundland with mum during the summer.
