I’m home . The chooks aren’t happy. I wasn’t with them all day, and they are mad at me. I saw that paul enjoyed the steak I had in the fridge ( meant for the birds) haha 😂 he was house sitting on my property while I was gone. He’s my airplane mechanic and tends the airport near here. (I treat him well ) but I’m not going to mention where that steak was going to go!

Well if Paul came here and house sat for me I would make sure it was. Huge T-bone with a backed potato and all the fixings 😄

I did it. Everyone got their medicine. I don't think I made any mistakes - at least they all survived it well enough to get either mealy worm or egg (and in Minnie's case both) right after.
I think I can say syringing a chicken is now in my skill set. I feel more confident in doing it and I didn't need to directly visualize their windpipe - I did it by feel which made it quicker. Not that I want to make a habit of doing this of course, but at least I now know I can!
Now for all the trauma it is not clear that I have achieved anything. Maggie still has diarrhea and seems perfectly well with it; Diana never had any diarrhea to begin with; Dotty maybe has less diarrhea; and Minnie is in a pickle with her blocked crop.
Based on observed symptoms you would have to say things are roughly the same or maybe you would say worse because of Minnie.
Just a day and a half of miconazole for Minnie and then we can all catch our breath and reevaluate.
