I have a fan in the front window of the main coop blowing into the coop to force air out the vents at the top. It is currently blowing right onto Phyllis. It keeps the coop no hotter than the outside temp in the summer.

Right now temps are in the low to mid 80s, 27 to 39°C. We are getting storms every couple of days but all in all a pretty nice start to the summer. No real weather complaints here.
If it would just stay constant here it would be better, the chickies are finding it harder then the horses- I can turn them outside but not so easy with the hens with predators around.

I think I will keep the fan on all night tonight- I can always go out when it cools down and turn it off…. And maybe get pics of that strawberry moon tonight 😊…. Doesn’t get dark til gone 10 these days!

Fly safe!
I did! It was a very nice flight. No thermals or crosswinds to contend with. I flew VFR the whole time. Finished the paperwork at the State Capital. I’m not too partial to the cab drivers there in Sacramento though. I’m glad that I am back home with my feathered family. And now I’m chicken-Sitting little Xzit. She’s still broody and I had to be sure she’s eating properly. (She is) :celebrate

My dad did some pleasure flying which he really enjoyed. He sold his motorcycle to an Air Canada pilot and they got chatting planes and the pilot and his friends invited my dad to go up in their plane and practice night flying and Landing / take offs, they let my dad do all those things - he had such a blast, I was very happy he had that opportunity and forever grateful to those guys as my dad died the following Spring.

Wish I had their contact info so I could let them know how much that meant to him ❤️

Wow, he passed away the following spring?. I’m glad he was able to fly too! To me, flying is a great escape from the everyday grind. :hugs
