It wears on me. Tomorrow more hvac work on the rooftop at our facility. I did something today that normally I don't abide by. I bypassed my chain of command out of frustration. I chatted with the senior ops manager and she raised cain. My immediate manager was on the phone with regional maintenance pushing for quicker action on our hvac needs. We are a third party but I felt we needed some blue badge(Amazon employee) help. I can only repair the building automation system itself and that's a big enough pain. Sorry for whining. Beautiful tax. 🥰 Terrible work situation. 😡

Well, I thought Roosters were supposed to tid-bit when they had a tasty morsel...and share with their beloved hens. You are, after all, their 'Big Rooster'

:lau :lau
My fault really. Dakota was inside with me and Xzit, all having lunch together. Dakota thought my sandwich looked better than her feed. That’s why she jumped across the table headed straight for my sandwich. (Yes, in the kitchen) and CDC, you can stuff it! :tongue

Oh if wishes were horses 🤗

We would all be flooded hahaha
I specifically said to send it south! Not back west 🤦‍♀️ pouring rain here again, and I just bailed out the house yesterday… sigh

Tax: an “outside Chicken” with a listening/obedience issue. She has decided to annex my RV. She still hasn’t actually laid in here, or if she is laying in here, I don’t know where and it’s not under the TV…

I received the dreaded phone call. :hitArizona was poisoned by eating a mouse. Her digestive system shut down due to rat poison contained in a mouse, found in her digestive tract. She didn’t stand a chance, against the quick acting poison.:(
If rat poisons in America are based on the same principle as in France they would be made of anticoagulants. The antidote to this is vitamin K. In my country it can be bought OTC in pharmacy, we got doses for human babies.
When we got our hens we had a mice situation and we had been poisoning them a few weeks before not knowing we would get chickens and they would eat the mice, so we had to look this up.

If the lab report states the poison's name please look it up and check if it is an anticoagulant. If it is I believe you should buy the vitamin K as a safety measure in case an other chicken has the symptoms.

BRAZEN!!!!!

The hawk has not been around for a while. it returned at disk tonight. Just after Betty had gone in the coop, it landed in the Birch tree. Right here.

I was standing at the garden having just planted it. Éowyn was NOT out with me. It has been a few weeks since I saw it and I was unarmed. It stood there screeching for a while and then flew across the street.

I am convinced it is after Betty. She goes to bed last most nights and I bet it has been studying her patterns from afar. It was just too late tonight for the kill.

Tomorrow night I will be outside waiting for it at dusk.

Fully armed.

Enough is enough.

Don't anyone worry, I'm not going to kill it but I AM going to hurt it. 😡
Out early, armed, and give it something to think about… seriously think about! Awful. Can’t it just find a rat, or tree rat, or rabbit or such to hunt? 😡😡😡

Night all. Good luck tomorrow @BY Bob scaring that hawk off. I hope you land a good shot with the nerf gun so that it thinks twice before stalking your girls again!
Hmmm, I wonder if there’s a way to make the nerf balls more effective? Can they be coated in something to give them any additional impact/velocity? I need to buy another nerf gun. Cow incident, I had it outside… for easy access in the yard when I was having issues with the young eagle… didn’t remember to bring it in with me and, the usual.

I hear ya, I have pretty much given up on any pipeline projects till winter work starts. I am looking for another job, but sometimes it better the devil you know.

Meanwhile Canada Day is coming up so I will likely take a few days off to catch up on some work here (the permanent run needs completing). Play with the horses and chickies 💖...

But meanwhile it's Thirsty Thursday.

These ladies enjoy the puddles
