Well, blowups from yesterday and this morning led to grandma going home. We did not take her she called one of her brothers and her nephew. Told them both if they did not come she was calling the police as we were keeping her prisoner. They got here and tried to reason and talk her out of it to no avail. She said if she could not stay by herself she would sell out and go to a nursing home but she hated us and would not stay 1 more minute. Her dr is useless and told us if she would not willingly go to a nursing home she had to be back in the hospital before he would put her in one. Fine, I give it a week before she is back in the hospital or worse. He also said he could not legally stop her from going home and if she called the law he would have to side with her.
shoot girl, your week sounds worse than mine! Hugs. I hope that whatever happens to bring her to the hospital next is not too damaging but enough for there to be some support for getting her into some sort of care arrangement. And I would like to send love, and support, and kindness, to you. You can only do so much, and I can’t see what more you could’ve done. Perhaps you can get a phone tree arranged with relatives so that everyday someone phones her and speaks to her at the very least? So if she does fall down and break a hip or something, you will know within a reasonable time frame. Often it’s not the fall that really causes the problem it’s if they are stuck there unable to get up for who knows how long before someone checks in or notices. That might be the only thing left you can do to try to help her.

:hugs :hugs :hugs

I swear they can sense when you need them! I know my dog and my previous cat absolutely could...and I think chickens that we are close to can also. ?maybe I am anthropomorphizing a bit?....but Truffles (my previous kitty) absolutely knew when I was at my limit and she would come over on her own and snuggle. I am sure Branch can tell at the very least that you are stressed.
They absolutely do! And I have a theory about boys especially with this. My kittie Bullet would always curl up on DH’s chest when he was in an A-fib tachycardia attack, and I swear it wasn’t just the air conditioning we had pointer right on his head… we found out five years ago with the new vet when we moved here that she also had a slight heart murmur. I’ve noticed that Male animals are far more attuned to other animals or people in distress for the most part. Our bull Gus, Jimmy, Sammy, even my moms sheep Flip all get extremely concerned when there is another animal in distress nearby. I think that it’s part of the keep the species going programming in males particularly.

Long painful night. Instead of sleeping, I decided to take out my slide rule and do some calculations. Weight, drag and maximum engine propulsion for my SkyHawk, can be altered for more efficiency, longer distance flights, and maximum fuel economy. I can reconfigure the wing supports, the landing gear materials, wind resistance to the airframe. Only materials would change. From ACR aluminum to CF “carbon fiber” struts, ailerons, basic trim of all wind resistant surfaces. This project might be quite fun! :D

And why not try? I’m not getting any younger!

But it is always a flat head when I need a Philips head or the other way around.
You need more screwdrivers. You are not yet at full saturation. You have only achieved partial saturation.
