Yes, with the mother to Cheepy...but she had serious trauma (kind of like PTSD/emotional) which is what Shad thought, and she didn't get worse...just took forever to get better. Here his only 'trauma' was physical...and he is consistently getting worse. I do think Shad did PT 4x a day, though, which I just can't do....but one would think my PT would have at least halted the progression............????
Sorry, I didn't get back on the thread yesterday. I was thinking that I read about this, and also read that @Ribh had a girl that stayed paralysed for quite a long time due to stress I believe. It doesn't seem very likely unfortunately, but could he have had a big shock from the fight ?

Hard to tell from the picture but it could be arnica or another asteracae. Many are toxic internally (though if it is arnica it's very useful topically) but I have arnica and asters and my hens don't touch them.
Do they have two small leaves that face each other , that helps to recognize arnica ?
Or if you have a mobile with internet you can use plantnet, an application to recognize plants by taking a picture.
Thank you. I'm wary of apps but my friend may be able to check it out
if its a medicinal arnica I will be ecstatic but I think its some kind of daisy.

Okay, so I looked back - I had messaged someone on the 30th of May, and it was almost 2 weeks then.....so about 5 weeks. In that time went from fighting trying to take on older/dominant Roo ( and winning sometimes.) To hurting his leg and not standing (I thought because of pain)in a 48 hour time span....brought him in, and in 5 weeks went from shaking legs standing (again, thought it was pain, treated wounds and gave him ibuprofen for pain), to couldn't stand, but could still move lower legs & had weak grip in feet....to no use of legs now...no resistance at all during exercises, not a glimmer of grip with feet.

If anyone thinks it is something else, feel free to offer suggestions for treatment. But the poor guy just can't live like this and I have no idea what else I can do for him.
I’m so sorry. :hugs

This is what I have on Marek's

What I don't understand is how he could have gotten it if every chick was either vaccinated or hatched here? I haven't introduced adult /older chickens to my flock, only vaccinated chicks. So, where did it come from?
I’m really hoping Lottie didn’t have Marek’s. :( The leg paralysis and becoming emancipated are ringing alarm bells for me.

It's up to you but amoxycillin is good antibiotic.

There are not always striations when there is a blood stream infection.

I was responding to the grey look in his face and comb. That does not indicate a robust roster to me and got me thinking about a heart problem. Trying antibiotics is real shot in the dark right now but usually there would be some improvement after 3 days. Specifically I would look for his color to return.

I can't make this decision for you. I tried antibiotics, amoxycillin specifically, on Patsy to no avail but I was out of ideas and wanted to at least try it before I let her go.
Thank you, Bob :hugs , I will try. His color has changed gradually over time. I will absolutely try it, I have nothing to lose at this point.

Thank you, too @RoyalChick and all the others with thoughts and well wishes. I am so upset. I picked him from all of the DC roos to keep because he was very sweet AND had good conformation. I am so heartbroken.💔 I will try @BY Bob suggestion, as a hail Mary, but I'm not optimistic. I so hope I am wrong & the antibiotic works!

She called around 3 today and simply stated phone was fixed bye.
I'm sorry you're going through this. It is a tough situation to be living with. I'm sure Branch stands ready to soothe you, let him!
The above struck me - that she called you all with the news about the phone. She wouldn't have done that if, in her less demented moments at least, she really never wanted to see or hear from you again.

Robertson 😁 is the square one.

I prefer those as they are the easier to drive in, the Phillips are horrid to drive in, IMHO....

Tax

BBQ at work we had activities, I painted a flower pot 😆 I better stick to computers than art haha

I tried to draw a chicken but I painted over it as it was so bad! hahaha

I think that looks really pretty.

Good luck. All you can do is try. I know how worrying it is when they get poorly :hugs

Yesterday evening we started getting bombarded with phone calls. Everyone was panicking because her phone was busy. None of us would put it past her to put the phone off the hook, she's done it before when she does not want to talk to someone. My cousin's wife offered to go check on her, she was one of the ones who helped take her home. They beat on the door, she would not answer so she called and I told them where the spare key was. She was asleep on the couch. A mouse had chewed her phone line in half. While she was on the phone she checked her sugar, it was 375, and I told her how much insulin she needed. Grandma gave her the same argument she has been giving me that it was not time for her medicine and she did not need insulin. She finally got her to take her shot and went ahead since it was 10:30 to take her nighttime meds. Mom got on the phone and asked her if she was comfortable staying by herself with no phone, she was fine. Did she want us to come fix her phone today, nope stay away she would get the phone company out and we were not to call them either she would find a way. She called around 3 today and simply stated phone was fixed bye. Mom just called her to check on her and she said she's fine, watching tv and hung up. I have been receiving several calls today from her friends. As soon as her phone was fixed she has been calling everyone claiming she was not allowed to use the phone here, we were not giving her medication properly and she was held hostage and that she never wanted to see any of us again as long as she lived. You know, I did not think that woman could hurt me anymore then she already has in the last 3 months but I was wrong. Her friends know the truth, her brother has been keeping them all updated on how she really is. It is time Adult Protective Services get involved, and when that happens she truly will never talk to me again.
:hugs:hugs:hugs
Adult Protective Services sounds like the right call to make.

:hugs Please try to distance yourself from her words...hurtful as they may be,it is the disease. Friends and family will remember how much you tried, and will understand, and Grandma is not in a place to reasonably judge. (Are any of us when we are 'too close' to the situation ourselves?):hugs:hugs :hugs

I know this is a lame attempt at making you feel better...but remember, she couldn't hurt you so deeply if you didn't love her....remember the grandma that you love...this is Lulu's alien invasion of Grandma at the moment.
