This cracked me up....:gig:lau:gig:lau:gig:lau

I was picturing leather jackets. And then it rhymed! :gig:lau:gig:lau
Nah… goat coats, which do exist, are to keep them dry, and basically cute little goat rain ponchos. Must always protect the precious goats from the “acid from the sky!!! Run, cry, do something to get moms attention! My horns are getting little wet spots on them! I’m meeeellllting!”

Have to get those full cover rainsheets like I have for the horses, they cover the head, neck and whole body!

@BY Bob

I went out but it very chilly tonight and hardly any big activity, which I am sure the horses love! Our heat warning has ended boohoo.

But the sky was awesome, clear with all the stars glittering, and Mars thrown in 🤗 I tried for a pic but my new camera is crapping at night shots.

Also checked the gals, and it was actually Fluffy who toppled from the roost, she was holed up in her nest box. I told Buttercup she was a brat, she ignored me... I didn't bother with the fan, it's cooler in there.

Between the horses, chickies and my restless leg syndrome I am not getting very good sleeps 😖

Not only 90f but it just started raining! Gezz this crazy apocalyptic weather!!
My remedy for most anything, is a Tylenol and a jacuzzi bath! Aaaah! :celebrate:clap
We don't need rain - everyone is cutting and baling hay like crazy !!

It's turning out to be a good first cut looks like 💖

Wish Tylenol and a jacuzzi would solve my legs and back issue - my Gramma warned me I would have issues when I got older - falling off all those crazy horses 🙄

If I had know how much fun chickies were I would have sold the horse and got chickens long ago hahahaha! Ok maybe I can sleep now... Hopefully...

I really wish you could get a good night's sleep. You would feel so much better. :hugs :hugs

Oh you are all such terrible enablers. I have a massive poison ivy issue all around the barn. Frankly a herd of goats could grow fat on poison ivy alone!
But I do NOT need goats. I do not need floppy eared goats!
Well, I’m blaming YOU for these two. This is what I get for enabling… a kick in the butt from karma. I hope Nancy (other feral goat mom) wasn’t kidding when she asked if she could have one of Arduinna’s babies if there were twins. 🤦‍♀️ I don’t know if the little boy is going to make it, but the girl is doing better. And my oh my, there is something about standing halfway up the mountain holding weak baby goats with cold little mouths that can hardly stand, and think what am I going to do now? Pretty sure DH is half ready to divorce me. It’ll be fine, really. Oh my goodness I am really going to have to build a bigger barn.

TY! TY! Better data helps all of us.
There will another poll shortly (next day or two) to look at ages and genders, and a third poll to look at the "quality" as opposed to the "quantity" of pasture.
I hope when you get to the pasture portion you include different types and climates, as I know there are many who are keeping chickens in quite arid areas, and have some mention of silvopasture… which I am having good success with here in the PNW

This is probably some of the worst silvopasture I find mine in… they followed me over to this “new” area because I was working on a run near it…

This is exactly what I was thinking!!! LOL

Actually, by the time your friend has fixed up the barn, the Hooligans will have outgrown their teenage stage, things will have settled down, and the goats will nicely fill that gap!

See: Goats. Are. the. Perfect. Addition.

Also sort of blaming you… 😉 DH just said that the white boy should be named after his Father if he pulls through. Mumbled a bit about not leaving well enough alone. We are both a little overwhelmed. But, They weren’t well enough. At all. That paste might be a lifesaver.
