I was just out lying on the grass, hanging out with the new crowd, trying to get them to learn that they don't need to be afraid of me. Wouldn't you know it, my most curious and brave one, Rust, climbed up on my chest and deposited a nice juicy cecal on my shirt right by my face. :sick Gee thanks.
Now that's love. 😆

Onward and Upward

The last 2 nights I have had to move the Rascals from the run floor to the coop. I must say that I really enjoy it. They each love to ride my hand and no one wanted to get off.

Which breaks my heart.

Obviously. 😁

Here are tonight's rides.

They love you Bob. That’s a very good sign!

Do silkie roosters have more of a hen like carriage? Ezzie does not stand like any cockerel I have seen. The stance is very hen like.
Ezzie is giving me very mixed signals. Your right, more of a hen like carriage but at times s/he is standing up and running tall. Branch looks like he is running around on his tip toes. The rich red color and scruffiness of the tail suggests boy. Lack of comb and wattles suggest hen. I guess Ezzie is just Ezzie and one day soon will either crow for me or lay a egg and then I'll know. And I'm completely wrong on how old the hooligans are. I thought Ezzie hatched the last week of January, nope, hatched February 17. That means they just turned 4 months old not getting ready to turn 5 like I was thinking. So with that in mind and some of the behaviors Ezzie is most likely a boy.

I'm used to roosters that look like this.
