I thought we would celebrate with pictures of when she came to live with us.

Hattie is the bum on the left.

Tomorrow, photos of the teenage years!
Lovely Hattie, always a lady!! :love

I love the pne of her asleep in Mrs By Bob's hand...so darling!

I keep telling myself it is worth persevering because we know what she has and it will get better, but in spite of tube feeding multiple times a day she is getting weaker and weaker.
Honestly it is breaking my heart.
I wish there was something more I could do to help. Maybe you should try the colloidal silver and worry about other issues down the road. It is the only idea outside of supporting her that I have left.

Wow. I have no idea. @BY Bob would know more maybe. I can’t even imagine how to get a hold of antivirals.
As far as I know there are no antivirals for this herpes virus. There are very few antivirals in existence at all let alone for chicken only diseases. They only thing I have to offer is colloidal silver which may help.

Yes doctor offices here dont deal with emergency.

I once had my Veterinarian remove stitches in my arm hahaha i am right handed and it was my right arm I couldn't do it with my left hand haha.

He was out doing some work on a horse and I asked , he laughed and told me 'free of charge, suture removal from homo sapien'. 😆
I think a tax payment is in order for triple posting. 🤔

I think she is very weak and has something like a sore throat. I don’t think she is really in pain.
If I thought she would be like this for forever I would not be in any doubt that euthanasia would be the kindest course to take. But if it is only for a period of time then it is worth it.
But for how long?
I would support her as long as she is fighting. If she gives up, you will know. She is young and deserves a chance to fight this off no matter how long it takes.

Well, she broke and displaced her clavicle. See a surgeon first thing Monday morning. They showed me the x-ray, it does not look pretty and explains the bump we were feeling on her shoulder. The ER doc said the surgeon has the final call but 90% sure she's going to need a plate put in.
I"m sure she will do fine. While a broken clavicle is NOTHING to sneeze at, it will heal okay (hopefully), and be much less of a long time issue than if she tore her shoulder apart.

I'm sending warm, healing, and calming thoughts to Rosie, as it will be hard for her to be patient during the healing process. Hopefully having to have a plate put in won't cause issues in the long run.

And I just cn't imagine what you are going through personally. I DO understand the issues of male doctors/male dominated systems not listening nor attending to female needs. All that unnecessary suffering - ridiculous! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugsHugs for you and Rosie & Russ!

After much thought, debate, and investigation, names considered and discarded: Genghis, Capone, Geronimo, Dillinger, Dapper, Gotti (thank you, Bob, for the mobster/prohibitionist idea: goes with Whiskey 👍)View attachment 3189355This cockerel, formerly known as pullet Ember, is getting dubbed Kren, aka horseradish.
I love it! I'm glad I got you thinking differently even if you didn't use the idea. Good choice :thumbsup
