My experience with Hector re vitamin b deficiency: no change....no change.....no change....no change....HUGE difference. I've now added rice krispies (in expensive yet simple vitamin booster) to the pellets for the foreseeable future....and just now thought about doing them on the side like the oyster shell...
Yes me too with Bernadette.
After trying treatment I took her to the vet to get her opinion on euthanasia because she couldn’t walk and I couldn’t see how she would have a life. At the vet she hopped on top of her box and flew around the vet’s exam room. Pooped over the vet’s notes and walked confidently back to her box.
I felt like an idiot!

They even speed down my alley (my alley,) because I built the fence to accommodate the people that live behind my property. I could easily move that fence back, and make so many more enemies, than I have already.

The young heal fast, forget fast, and get into trouble even faster 😁
I once broke my left ankle and didn't know it. I thought I had sprained it again for the umpteenth time so I wrapped it and didn't bother going to the hospital. It healed badly and gives me tremendous pain at times. It is good the Rosie got the proper care thanks to Rebekah.

Never underestimate the power of a chicken!

Gucci can perch but she does not jump. The leg is still an issue and outside of vitamin B I'm not certain what to do about it.
Our lone buff Orpington hen was near death about ten days ago. We mixed a vitamin B mix with wet mash and syringe feed her then follow that with electrolytes. She has started eating on her own again but not like normal and is well on her way to a recovery. The progress may come slowly but remain vigilant and patient and the meds will do their work.
