Heat will cause the blue comb bit, and could also account for some of the other stuff. How hot is it there? See if she perks up in the am, when it is cooler? I haven't witnessed the sneezing issue with the heat, but seems @Ponypoor 's rose has been sneezing and gurgling in the heat...but when things cool off, all that goes away! I'm hoping at least that that is what it is....heat is a huge stress on the girls, especially a heavier, well-fluffed BO like Cashew. [That said, her breathing did seem more labored rather than panting... ]

Please update us in the morning...i.e. if cooler temps overnight seem to help her symptoms..

Thank you. She suddenly recovered and went back to her happy ways. The comb kept its blue tinge. She’s been squatting for me, but not laying, which is always a concern. I suspect there is a larger, hidden issue, but grateful she seems well most of the time.

Edited to add: I forgot to answer your question about the heat. It was in the mid 80’s today, I think. Nobody seemed to be in heat stress.

OK, so this is funny. My husband keeps telling people we’re gonna do this and we’re gonna do that on the house that we just bought. You know that I just bought the house we’ve been renting for 13 years, right? Well my husband loves to say we’re gonna push the house out 8 feet in the front, we’re gonna put a master suite above the garage, we’re going to add an accessory dwelling unit, etc. etc. etc. Well, I’ve recently been telling people we’re going to build a second coop and start rescuing roosters! You should’ve seen his face when I said that! God it was funny!

Make sure you catch his expression when you actually do bring 1 home.....

Thanks for asking. Her breathing is slightly worse and her throat makes a sound I don't like at all, like something broken, but she's.still eating and drinking. We're taking her to the vet this afternoon and I'll update when we're back tonight.
I hope your Cashew will be doing ok today and that you won't get too much heat.
