Damage assessment.
Both Minnie and Bernadette seem unscathed.
There is definitely something wrong with Bella’s leg, but I was worried about it before so I don’t think we can blame that all on Minnie.
And I have a 2” scratch down the inside of my arm which I think must have come from Bernadette’s toenails.

Not too bad then if only you are damaged. Better you than them and a2 inch scratch is not awful, right?

Definitely not the end of the world - it will heal. I am worried about Bella's leg though.
I know never to intervene directly in a serious fight between cats - always use a shield of something to deflect them - but honestly that never occured to me with chickens!

I have not had to intervene between chickens but I would have in your case. Even the big fight between Hattie and Aurora I let go. But no one was pinned to the ground being hammered. I would never allow that and frankly I would gladly take wounds to defend one of mine. Just like you did. Great job!

Thanks for the update, from what you have said before I agree with your assessment and likely correct that Minnie is not to blame for her leg.

How is Bella’s mood? Is she okay after all the drama?

I am enjoying everyone’s night time drama as it gives me ideas to reduce my drama, glad mine don’t decide to use me as a roost tho those nails are sharp

I have retreated to the sofa to cuddle a cat. There is nothing like a soft purr in your ear to get your blood pressure down.
Bella is in the hospital ward and looks as poorly as before but not more so.
In a few minutes I will go and check on Bernadette and Minnie.
