Yes, but the poor girl can't see.Why no votes for Éowyn though? She is the most obvious choice. That barrier means nothing to her.

Because she was an obvious choice. Why no votes for Éowyn though? She is the most obvious choice. That barrier means nothing to her.
She's moving better. Her legs are so long she looks like she's on stilts....or 5 inch stilettos.... definitely runway modelBedtime for Gucci
Yesterday's final video comes from when it was bedtime. As usual, Glynda told everyone it was time for bed. Lady Featherington hung out a while longer and then went to join Glynda. As usual this left Gucci. Here is Gucci's journey to finding a place to sleep.
You can see in the end she looks for a place to lay down she finds a corner with something over top of her.
I took her from that corner and placed her on the ramp. She did a much better job going up the ramp last night. Of course then she tried to sleep on the porch in the corner. I had to show her the coop door. Then she lay down in a corner of the coop. So I had to pick her up and put her on the roost.
Security Breach
We had a security incident last night. I had to implement my IRT, Incident Response Team. Someone breached the fence in the grassy area where the Rascals are roaming. Before opening the spoiler below I want you to post your guess as to who breached my flimsy barrier.
Here is the list of possibilities.
And no reading ahead to see everyone commenting on it!
- Glynda
- Lady Featherington
- Gucci
- Aurora
- Phyllis
- Sydney
- Betty
- Éowyn
Lady Featherington breached the walls the times last night. The first time she flew over, Aurora was about. She basically flew straight up and straight down like a little helicopter. This video covers that time.
As you can see, Aurora was completely unconcerned. Betty even came out from under the big coop and I thought for certain there would be an issue.
No response there either.
The second time she tried to land in my lap. She hit my legs but was just a bit short and my legs got all scratched up as she struggled to fly her way the rest of the way up.
The third time she just flew to the top of the wire and tried to roost. Here she is roosted on chicken wire.

What a lovely tribute. I am in tears. She was beautiful.
Thank you @lightm . When you first posted pictures of light in Shadrach's thread she reminded me of Vanille, and reading your late "introduction" I see our flock have other similarities. I hope you keep all of yours in good health for a longer time than I.Oh, my heart is broken for you. Rest in peace, Caramel.
Thank youI am late in seeing this, and hope I do not offend or bring any further heartbreak in mentioning it. I am so sorry for your loss, she had a beautiful time and excellent care with you though. Despite the outcome I do think that taking her to the vet would have been her only hope for survival. She doesn’t look at all like an ex Battery hen, she looks a beautiful happy chicken here and that is the best way to remember her.![]()
So have youI’m so sorry, you have had a lot of trauma recently!![]()
Joke coming:let’s twist again, like we did last summer. Twist again… la la la lala
Is there anything that can be done to help that break?ManueB ignore my next statement please.
Against all odds, Dakota found the strength to perch with all the others in the coop. Broken wing and all so, any of you doubt her strength and ability….,
I have amazing animal friends.
